41 Satellites Launched on Single Rocket
A Long March-2D rocket placed 41 satellites in orbit on June 15, setting a domestic record for the most satellites lifted on one mission.
Radiation Experiment Outside Space Lab
China has conducted its first experiment to gauge the impact of cosmic radiations on biological organisms on exposure to cosmic radiation outside its space laboratory Mengtian. "Ningdong", the world’s most powerful hydrogen-powered locomotive that can run continuously for 190 hours, rolled off the assembly line on June 15. Converted from an internal combustion engine, the locomotive by CRRC Datong has the world's largest hydrogen-fueled cell with an installed capacity of 800 kW.
New Dateng Gorge Project Unit Begins Operation
The fourth unit on the right bank of the Dateng gorge water conservancy project on the Xijiang river in Guiping city, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, began operation on June 18 to increase the project's daily electricity generation by 4.8 million kWh.
